Image Armor inks are kinder to your printer with great printability and with easier cleanup on your cap and wiper blade. You will have less down-time in maintenance which means greater productivity!
MAINTAINING IMAGE ARMOR E-SERIES INKS
Maximise the shelf life of your Image Armor inks by following these simple guidelines:
- Store inks in a controlled environment – temperature range should be maintained at 10°~27° celcius – 24/7.
- Store inks out of direct sunlight
- Shake white ink daily. Image Armor White Ink bottles supplied by Machines Plus will contain a glass marble to assist with the agitation of the ink. Daily shaking is required to maintain the ink at it’s best. Ink must be shaken until all sediment that will show at the base of the bottle (after bottle has been resting for some time) has been re-constituted. (See photo’s)
- Shake colour inks twice monthly for 5 minute
CURING IMAGE ARMOR E-SERIES INKS
Cure the E-SERIES™ Inks at 180C for 35 seconds. You can go a little longer on the cure time, however best results are achieved at the suggested time and temperature.
Use light to medium pressure on the heat press to cure the ink.
Allow for 24 hours after heat pressing before washing the shirt. This allows continued curing of the ink. Washing immediately will result in about a 10-15% decrease in print quality life.
PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT RECOMMEND mixing Image Armor Inks with other inks sets on the market due to the 35 second cure time. Using with other inks can cause adverse issues with curing and washing.
We have not tested for inter-compatibility nor do we recommend use of the inks in that manner. Inter-comparability may result in poor wash fastness, durability, colour retention, etc. In addition, we only recommend the use of Image Armor Pretreatments for best wash fastness and durability of the Image Armor Inks.
