What is Heat Transfer?
Heat Transfer is the application of specialty vinyls to fabrics and materials through the use of heat. This vinyl can be applied as a single layer or it can be layer to make more complex designs.
The kind of items you can decorate and create are: –T-shirts, Cushions, Soft Fabric Bags, Banners, Jackets, Umbrellas, Safety Work Gear, Sports Wear, Sports Bags, Promotional products, etc.
How to use Heat Transfer Vinyl.
Heat Transfer Vinyl and digital media can come in rolls or as a sheet. The vinyl / media has an adhesive backing so it can be cut, weeded, and placed on a substrate (such as fabric) for heat application.
You can also get a printable version that you use with solvent ink & a solvent printer.
To achieve the best results you need to keep the designs simple with minimal colours. The individual colours and patterns in a design must be cut, weeded, and heat pressed individually. The more layers involved, the harder it is to match up each to achieve the end result. Heat Transfer vinyl cannot be used for full-colour pictures or anything with gradients.
